Publish 2 has a blog up about the cross-linking/cross-promotional collaboration among many Media Consortium members (altho this is not a TMC project) for the duration of the Copenhagen Climate Summit.
"a group of journalists from Mother Jones, The Nation, Grist, The UpTake, TreeHugger, and other news organizations have applied the collaborative newswire model to a major international news story, forming the Copenhagen News Collaborative to curate the best coverage from their own reporters, editors, and analysts covering the event."
The blog goes on to show how each organization is using the Publish2 technology to link to each other's content and showcase it on differently on their sites. Def. worth a look.

Interesting interview w/ Oscar Villaon re: the publication of their McSweeney's 1st newspaper. Has a lot of interesting stuff to say re: the opportunities of newspaper to reinvent the wheel and reimagine their role. But my favorite part was at the end…
Q: What's one issue in journalism today you don't think is getting the attention it deserves?
A: We need to start talking more about collaboration. Are our newspapers really in competition with each other anymore? Probably not. If anything, we need to figure out how the New York Times can work with a Philadelphia Inquirer or whatever to do good investigative pieces. The model for years was "It's us versus them." It was about: "Let's get the scoop, because the scoop means we'll get more readers." Now, it's more like: "Well, let's just work together so we get the story period."
